8 ( Eight ) ALL IS WELL

The shape of 8 makes it unique. Invert the number and you still get an 8. See it in the mirror and you get the same number. When you write this number you will come back to where you started. Such things never happen with other numbers from 1 to 9. You can draw a line vertically to split the number to get 2 identical halves, a 3 and a laterally reversed 3. If you cut it horizontally you get once again identical halves but this time they are 2 zero's. 8 resembles the symbol of infinity that is familiar to mathematicians if you rotate it 90 degrees.

If you write the numbers from 1 to 9 the stroke of the pen always end downwards as you finish writing the number and the only exception is once again 8. 8 is the only number that ends upwards when you finish writing this unique number. 8 shows you the going away or losing your way but this number reminds us that we come back to where we start from. This is the number of hope when you finish the journey. Life appears complicated like the loop or the knot in the number 8 but on a closer look you will know that it is just 2 bubbles. Once you trekking on the spiritual mountain you will get this real and absolute view of life. Well until that lucky date life is all knots like what you see in 8. Before we go into an in depth analysis of number 8 it is important to remember that 8 is associated with the planet Saturn.

It is generally believed that India is ruled by this number. India became independent on 15-8-1947 which adds up to 35 which adds up to 8. On that day the star was Pushyami – the 8th Star. Using the Koorma Chakra – we find that Delhi the Capital of India is in the Capricorn area that is ruled by Saturn.

Do you know that there are 28 States and 7 union territories in India? Add 28 and 7 and see what you get..... surprised. Such is the power of 8. Usually those who conduct themselves rudely most of the time or suffer from super ego are more likely to be target of number 8 more than others. Number 8 is auspicious for all those who look into the suffering of human beings. The Buddha was enlightened when He was 35 (=8) years old. The 8 fold path was His solution to the world of suffering. He attained final Nirvana when He was 80. When we stray away from the right path number 8 becomes inauspicious. 8 is considered a lucky number in China where Buddhism flourishes. His 4 noble truths is the foundation of His teachings. 4 is half Saturn and is the number of Rahu considered as similar to Saturn.

Lord Sri Krishna was born on the 8th lunar day (Ashtami) and is also the 8th Avatar

of Lord Vishnu and is the 8th child to his parents. He lived for 125 (=8) years. 8 is like Sri Krishna, a terror to the Rakshasas (demons) and a great friend of Arjuna (the perfect).

Dharma Sthamba Yojana

The Dharma Sthamba Yojna is an initiative wherein we invite socially conscious citizens and Art of Living family members to become an integral part of the process of creating H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's vision of a divine society. The Dharma Stambh Yojna is an extension of the analogy of Narayan Sewa (keeping aside 1 fist full of grains every day and at the end of month giving it to the needy) - where one keeps aside a certain amount of his/her earnings every month and donates it to the Dharma Sthamba Yojna.

11-11-11

The number pair 11:11 has long been considered a divine number. An numerological interpretation of its essence is building a spiritual foundation for the future.

Now comes 11-11-11.

What will happen?

Not much. It will be just another day, except for the expectations and disappointments of those who believed otherwise.

Why is that? Because 11-11-11 is not 11 nor it is 11:11. Instead, it is a misinterpreted date. The real date is 11-11-2011, not 11-11-11. Dropping the "20" from "2011" doesn't change the year 2011 into a year 11.

In numerology, the complete date is used in calculations. "2011" can not be made into "11" by wishing or assuming or even by declaring it to be divine command. Removing the "20" makes the resulting calculations incorrect and invalid.

Now, November 11 of year 2011 is likely to be a divine day. At least for some people. Just like November 11 that occurs every year.

11-11-11 can be a boon to business, though.

One or more movies are likely to be released before that date which predict either dire or uplifting events for November 11, 2011. Several books will be published on the subject. Numerous related articles will be published in print magazines. And hundreds of blog posts will talk about it.

But, in the end, it's all a false assumption. 11-11-11 is not 11-11-2011.

No matter how much it is twisted and turned, declared and supposed, assumed and proposed, "2011" can not be made into "11" without chopping off the "20". Chopping off the 20 creates a flaw, breaks the day with a missing piece.

Just because many people write "11" as a shortened form of "2011" doesn't change the fact that the year is and remains 2011. Assuming the day November 11, 2011 is somehow made special because it is 11-11-11 is basing the assumption on a lie.

November 11, 2011 is not 11-11-11. Instead, the date is 11-11-2011. And 11-11-2011 does not have a special significance by itself.
